Thelma Velez watched the local scene change with the warming of spring. Her portfolio reflects the many changes one can observe in central Ohio during this volatile time of year.

The world as we know it is changing.
The reflection of spring buds and trees can be seen through a rain drop.
Change in the natural environment is, for lack of a better word, natural. Change has spurred evolution over millennia. Change is the reason species have mutated and adapted. Regional and temporal changes in weather result in seasons (who doesn’t love to see signs of spring after a long, cold winter?). For the most part change in nature is good, yet currently the planet is faced with a change that may not seem dire to many, but is unequivocally matched in history: a rapidly changing climate.
